mixed palette.

i'm sorry i haven't written anything inna while. i have been incredibly busy. i feel like all i do lately is work and when i am not i don't even know what to do with myself. thank god there has been some great shows.

last coupla weeks i have seen Atmosphere start their tour up in Duluth. the Sights in the Entry same night as Sufjan Stevens in the Mainroom. i saw Beck at Roy Wilkins with Amy. that was really fun. then there is Arcade Fire in the Mainroom this week the same night as M.I.A. at the Fine line.

i am most psyched about Arcade Fire. i missed them in Austin last year as they sold out by the time we were going to go down there. i think the wine made us lost at some point, who knows..

but i imagine the Mainroom being the perfect spot to see them for the first time anyway. i love when a good band like them can fill up that room with sound. it is like no other, is it?

the last time i remember experiencing this feeling was when Godspeed You! Black Emporer played there the night our country started bombing Iraq. needless to say it was pretty intense.

so. i am in this art show coming up. i love the Steven's Square people. they do really great stuff in a neighborhood that is slowly turning into something other than drug dealers and prostitutes.

the show is 8 painters from the area. i don't know any of the others. but have seen some of the stuff and it's nice work.

sadly i can't be at the opening this weekend. but i would reccomend stopping by or sometime this month to check out the wares.

You do have a good show list coming up. I saw Arcade Fire Friday at Stubb's. They were great. I wasn't sure about seeing them there, but it was a fantastic show. Don't miss it again (like we did last time).

I was wholly unimpressed with the M.I.A. show. It was very short, very mediocre and expensive. I'd recommend skipping it. But if you do go, I'd like to hear what you think.
